DI-DAY 06: SING A NEW SONG
What training day doesn't start well with a coffee and a danish pastry? One more the Riverside Centre hospitality does itself proud again hosting our annual DI Day on Saturday 7th October.
After catching up with old friends and introducing ourselves to new ones, Dave richards threw out some challenging questions re: singing a new song. Have we become too 'pastoral' in our worship to the detriment of the prophetic? Where are the praise songs? Are we singing our journey or someone elses? Plenty to chew on together with another instalment of coffee and danish pastries after that!
After Bill Nisbet continued picking Dave's brains, everyone opted for one of the 13 workshops on offer including prophetic singing, planning to be spontaneous and all aged worship to name but a few.
After lunch another chance to attend the workshops then Bill spoke a about having the heart of David, a man after God's own heart, a leader and a servant. We then all joined together for a great time of praise and worship with loads of opportunities for singing a new song and singing over eachother to encourage one another.
It was a great day of listening, trying things for the first time, meeting up with other worshippers and connecting with the wider worship vision of our family of churches.
